Cleaning Requirements
Keeping our caravans clean and in great condition is one of our top priorities. We make sure your caravan is handed to you in a clean condition, and as per the Hire Agreement, it is required to be returned clean.
If you’d rather leave the cleaning to us, you can still add our Cleaning Service. For $150, we’ll handle all cleaning inside and out, or choose our $50 external-only option. Let us take care of the cleanup, so you can spend more time exploring and less time tidying up!
Cleaning Checklist
To help you meet the cleaning requirements, here is a handy checklist:
Interior Cleaning:
- Check cupboards for personal belongings (this will save you potential postage and handling costs).
- Wash and dry all dishes.
- Clean the stovetop, griller, and oven (as applicable).
- Wipe down benches and tables.
- Empty and clean the fridge and freezer. Turn off the fridge and place a tea towel in the freezer compartment.
- Wipe out the microwave.
- Clean the shower cubicle, toilet, and vanity basin, including mirrors.
- Check the washing machine cupboard for clothing items, clean around the machine, and empty lint filters (as applicable).
- Empty and rinse the toilet cassette, cleaning and drying the cavity areas.
- Empty the rubbish bin.
- Sweep the floor.
Exterior Cleaning:
- Wash the exterior of the caravan, including the awning.
- Rinse the waste hose by running clean water through it.
Cleaning Supplies Provided
To assist with cleaning, we’ve equipped the caravan with:
Broom, dustpan, and brush
Microfibre cloths
Cleaning products
Dishwashing detergent
Sponge and dish brush
Tea towels
A Quick Tip for Returning the Caravan
Many of our customers find it convenient to stop by the wash bay around the corner from our yard for a quick rinse of the caravan exterior before returning it. This extra step helps ensure the van is returned in top condition and avoids unnecessary fees.
